Trench Drain Systems has been selling to the drainage market for nearly 20 years and has taken notes on customers’ unique needs related to polymer concrete systems. We have developed several exclusive products that marry up to the POLYCAST® 500, 600, 700 and 900 series.

TDS POLYCAST® enhances an already robust system by adding beneficial options such as solid end caps and outlets, more half and neutral channels, a multipurpose catch basin and transition channels that add more slope with less channels.

TDS POLYCAST® Neutral Channels

Trench Drain Systems now offers additional neutral channels to extend run lengths. Neutral channels are non-sloping drains designed to maintain a consistent depth throughout a drain run. They are typically installed at the end of a pre-sloped run or in flat areas to manage cross-flow interception and high-volume runoff.

Neutral channels can be used for non sloping runs, incorporated with sloped channels or joined with transition channels for areas where run lengths are limited by available space.
The additional neutral channels include a 610N, a 610N and 620N.

TDS POLYCAST® Transitional Channels

Transition Channels for Increased Slope in Limited Space

When your drainage project requires a steeper slope within a short run, our transition channels offer the ideal solution. Designed for efficiency and performance, these specialty trench drain components allow you to achieve greater elevation change without extending your channel run.

How Transition Channels Work

Each 2-foot transition channel replaces four standard 4-foot channels — compressing up to 16 feet of run into just 2 feet while delivering the slope increase you need. Transition channels can also be used to create a cascading drainage run of neutral channels, making them a versatile choice for complex drainage layouts.

Why Choose Transition Channels?

  • Save space without sacrificing drainage performance
  • Connect seamlessly to manholes for deeper inlet depth
  • Create cascading drainage runs with neutral channels
  • Reduce material costs by replacing multiple standard channels
  • Compatible with TDSPolycast channel systems
  • Engineered for precise slope management in commercial and industrial drainage applications

Available Transition Channel Options

We offer transition channel configurations to match your project specifications:

  • 600N to 605N
  • 605N to 610N
  • 610N to 615N
  • 615N to 620N
  • 620N to 625N

Transition channels can easily be incorporated into neutral runs to create a more compact drainage layout while providing the added benefit of a cascading slope.

Manhole Connectivity for Deeper Inlet Depth

Transition channels are designed to seamlessly connect to manholes, enabling a deeper inlet depth where your project demands it. Additionally, the three transition channels can connect directly to each other, allowing for maximum flexibility in slope configuration across a single drainage run. This makes them well-suited for applications requiring integration with existing underground drainage infrastructure.

Polymer Concrete Catch Basin

The TP0650S catch basin is purpose-built for a wide range of drainage applications, delivering flexibility, durability, and seamless integration. Designed to connect with POLYCAST® 600N through 625 trench drain channels, this catch basin ensures efficient water management across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Each side of the TP0650S features pre-embossed knockout panels, allowing contractors to easily customize the basin for pipe connections, directional changes, and complex configurations. These adaptable knockout sections make it simple to create elbows, tees, and four-way intersections, reducing installation time and increasing on-site efficiency.

For projects requiring deeper drainage capacity, multiple TP0650S units can be stacked vertically as risers, enabling contractors to extend the basin depth to meet specific job requirements.

For more demanding environments, the catch basin is also available in a vinyl ester version (TV0650S), engineered to withstand extreme temperatures, corrosive conditions, and exposure to harsh chemicals—making it ideal for industrial and high-performance applications.

Decorative Grates

Trench Drain Systems offers an exclusive line of decorative grates for POLYCAST®. These grates are proudly made in the USA and designed to fit the POLYCAST® 500, POLYCAST® 600 and TDS SS600 drainage systems. Choose from five light duty patterns including Deco, Slot, Foam, Cathedral and Perforated. All are ADA compliant and heel friendly and rated for pedestrian traffic as Load Class A. Available in galvanized steel, 304 stainless steel and for special orders, 316L marine grade stainless steel. Each grate measures 5.19″W x 0.75″H, with length options of 24″ and 48″.

When the project requires grates that are more robust, TDS offers a patriotic ductile iron option with the DG0692 grate. Aptly named the "Patriot" grate and holds a Load Class rating of C for traffic and is ADA compliant for wheel chair and bicycle traffic.

The DG0669 is a heavy duty stainless steel bar grate that provides a Load Class D traffic rating. While this grate is ideal for 600 series drainage systems, a cast iron or HDPE frame must be used to raise the grate for use with a 500 series system to avoid impeding flow.

Stainless Steel Strainer

The DA0663 is a universal strainer designed to filter surface water while minimizing the amount of debris that enters the drainage system.

It is ideal for adding to a side, end, or bottom outlet on your drainage system. It fits any 4-inch trench drain channel opening, making it a convenient option to capture debris.

Made of 304 stainless steel, the universal design allows it to be installed as an atrium/dome strainer or as a bucket strainer.

POLYCAST® 900 Series

With over 30 years of proven performance, the POLYCAST® 900 Series has become a trusted solution for airports, highways, rail terminals, ports, and other heavy-duty transportation infrastructure projects. Its robust design and reliable grate-locking technology make it a preferred choice for engineers and contractors seeking high-performance concrete trench drainage systems.

The POLYCAST® 900 Series is a heavy-duty trench drain system engineered for high-traffic infrastructure including airports, roadways, and airplane taxi surfaces. With a 6.25″ outer diameter and 0.65% slope, it delivers a flow capacity of up to 470 GPM — outperforming comparable drainage systems on the market.

Channel Design & Installation Available in 48″ and 24″ lengths, the polymer concrete channels interlock via tongue-and-groove joints and are secured with adjustable installation chairs for precise, efficient concrete pours. Fewer pieces mean faster installs and reduced labor costs.

Material Durability The polymer concrete channel body resists salt, oils, acids, and alkalis — ideal for the corrosive environments found in airports and high-traffic roadways.

Grate & Load Distribution A non-removable ductile iron slotted grate with cast lugs locks securely into surrounding concrete. Anchoring flanges prevent channel shifting and distribute heavy loads across the concrete substrate. With 60% open area, the grates efficiently manage heavy rainfall on roadways and tarmacs.

Maintenance Access An optional ductile iron cleanout grate provides a removable access point for debris removal and routine service.

Male/Female Solid End Caps

Each POLYCAST® 600 series channel has an integrated male and female end. Trench Drain Systems recognized the need to have a substantial end plate for the system, and developed matching polymer concrete end caps.

The DP0600C series end caps are available exclusively from Trench Drain Systems. They are molded to fit the shallow end (inlet side) of channels 600N to 615 and are made from either polyester or vinyl ester polymer concrete. Each end cap is identified with the corresponding channel number, can be secured with construction adhesive, and has the same width as the edge of the channel. They simplify installation and provide a congruent look.

Complementing the system end caps is the DP0670F solid end outlet series. These outlets are used when bottom draining makes the end outlet option unnecessary. This is particularly important where extreme conditions exceed the temperature limit of standard plastic end caps. End caps are available for channels numbered: 600, 605, 610, 615, 620, and 625. Embossed cut-out templates in most end caps help to facilitate field fabrication when appropriate.

Core Drilling Service

A value-added service provided by Trench Drain Systems. Concrete core bits can be costly for a one-time project that needs outlet openings drilled in the sides, ends or bottom to accommodate pipes and adapters. Contractors can save money, time and labor on the job site by having Trench Drain Systems core drill polymer concrete channels or catch basins for your drains.
