Heavy Duty Grates

TDS has expanded into the heavy-duty trench drain grate market with the introduction of the RG Series. This product line features 12-inch and 14-inch wide slotted grates designed to sit on a 1.5-inch-high frame or ledge. RG Series grates are available in both bolt-down and non-bolt-down configurations for secure installation in high-load applications. Compatible cast iron and fiberglass chair rail options are also available, making the RG Series a versatile solution for commercial and industrial drainage systems.

Since 1990 D&L Foundry has been able to meet the demand for durable, quality, cost-effective construction castings delivering over 40,000,000 pounds of cast iron annually. These 1.5″ heavy-duty grates are made in the USA and are available in ADA-compliant/heel-proof options. D&L heavy-duty grates can be paired with rails for a frame and grate system. For more than 135 years East Jordan has been making cast iron grating that is strong, durable and stands up to harsh environmental conditions. All East Jordan Heavy Duty grates are made in the USA. TDS offers EJ’s frames and grates for a heavy-duty drainage system.

Fibergrate fabricates FRP a Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic that offers a strong, lightweight, and highly customizable option in cases where cast iron or steel grates are not conducive to a project. High-load capacity (HLC) molded grating is commonly used in applications where heavy loads are encountered. Since 1983 General Foundries has been a manufacturer and distributor of gray iron construction and municipal castings for water and wastewater industries. General Foundries’ 2″ heavy-duty grates and rails are now offered on TDS online stores. Available options include an ADA-compliant grate and Bike safe grates and rails.

US Foundry trench grates are used in applications including but not limited to, loading docks, walkways, entrances, parking lots and garages. They are all heavy-duty loading and come in various sizes and have ADA-compliant grates and frames. All castings manufactured by U.S. Foundry are proof load tested in accordance with the destructive testing protocol and are assigned a load rating.
