TDS Stainless Steel Grates

Stainless Steel Grates

Trench Drain Systems offers an exclusive line of stainless steel grates in the wedge wire pattern. You can choose from metric or standard/imperial measurements that will fit systems such as our stainless steel SS600 series, POLYCAST® 500 and POLYCAST® 600 drainage channels as well as ULMA’s U100K, U100KX, M100K or the M100KX series.

Currently, these grates are offered in load classes B and D. Some projects require a clean look with an uninterrupted pattern; in these instances, we offer selections without locking devices in our load class B section.

How do I clean stainless steel grates?

If you have a stain that has been left unchecked for an extensive amount of time, you may need to go with something like Compound 302 Postweld Stainless Steel Cleaner. For a light cleaner, stainless steel grates can be easily cleaned with popular cleaners such as Soft Scrub® or Bar Keepers Friend®. In the case of polished stainless steel, mild soaps and a soft cloth are recommended. We recommend reading and following the labels of any cleaner you decide to use.

It is just as important to establish a regular maintenance program in which the drainage systems are cleaned two or three times a year. Build up of sea salt, seasonal landscape waste and other debris can impede water flow. Proper maintenance can help to alleviate potential flooding issues.
