Each ULMA linear drainage system has a specialized catch basin that is made with the same polymer concrete material. The AK100-410 catch basin features the same built-in stainless steel rail edging. This model can handle load class ratings A through C including residential, pedestrian, shower building and internal garage applications. This model is compatible with U100K linear drainage system.

The stainless steel edges are helpful for many reasons. Most importantly, it gives the sides of the channel more stability and provides a more finished look. Similar products require an additional cost for this feature. The edging also helps to keep surface materials such as mulch, dirt or stones from entering the catch basin. However, a galvanized steel trash bucket (CU100) is an accessory available to easily collect and remove obstructions.

The advantage of using polymer concrete is that it helps to make the channels and catch basins more impact resistant. It also provides a smooth channel surface that has a near zero absorption rate which increases the flow rate. This is in comparison to concrete which has a 5-10% absorption rate. ULMA drainage solutions tolerate seasonal freeze-thaw and can withstand temperatures at a maximum of 167°F/75°C.
